Package Options
Options add various features to the basic ME'scopeVES package. Options can
be combined to upgrade to more powerful packages and can be ordered based upon your
individual needs.
The VES-300 Signal Processing option adds Time & Frequency Waveform Analysis,
ODS FRF Analysis and ODS Order Tracking to ME'scopeVES.
Features Include:
- Prime Factor FFT, allows simultaneous FFT or Inverse FFT on all measurements
in a Data Block letting you analyze data in either the time or frequency domain.
The Prime Factor FFT supports large blocks of data and non power of 2 blocks of
data.
- Time and frequency domain integration & differentiation.
- Waveform Cut, Copy & Paste.
- Notch & Band Pass windows for removing unwanted data.
- Exponential window for removing noise or sharpening resonance peaks.
- Overall Power, Power in Band and Average Value in Band calculations.

from time waveforms, using time windows, spectrum averaging and overlap processing.
- Calculates ODS FRFs from time waveforms or from Auto & Cross

- Choice of Rectangular, Hanning & Flat Top time windows.
- Choice of Linear or Peak Hold spectrum averaging with overlap processing.
- Processes order tracked measurements to display Order Tracked ODS's
(running modes).
The VES-400 Modal Analysis option adds SDOF&MDOF curve fitting, operating modes
and FRF Synthesis to ME'scopeVES.
Features Include:
- Interactive curve fitting of measurements using a variety of methods
- SDOF Co-Quad and Peak curve fitters.
- MDOF Rational Fraction Polynomial curve fitter with residual mode
compensation.
- Operating Modes - Curve fit operating data (when excitation forces
cannot be measured) and extract modal parameters.
- Quick Fit - one step MDOF curve fitting to rapidly obtain mode shapes.
- Mode Indicator (Modal Peaks Function) for determining where and how
many modes are represented in a set of measurements.
- Synthesize FRFs from either experimental or analytical modal parameters.
The VES-500 Structural Modifications option adds Structural Modifications, Modal
Sensitivity, Operating Mode Scaling, Substructuring, Tuned Absorbers and Experimental
FEA to ME'scopeVES.

Analysis, Intensity & Sound Power to ME'scopeVES.

- Interactive Drawing of 3D Acoustic Surfaces including shoe box and
exploded view surfaces.
- Drawing Assistant to automatically generate Acoustic Surfaces.
- Interactive animated display of acoustic data on an Acoustic surface
using contour lines, color maps, arrows or text.
- Display narrow band or 1/1/, 1/3, 1/12 or 1/24 octave band measurements.
- Calculate Acoustic Intensity from Cross Power Spectrum or time domain
microphone data.

The VES-550 Advanced Modification option adds Shape Expansion, Normal Modes Calculation
and Stress/Strain calculation to ME'scopeVES.
Features Include:
- Normal Modes Solver - Solve for the normal modes of a finite element
model.
- Shape Expansion - Use finite elements and experimental data to compute
all of the deformations of your structure.
- FEA Assistant - Rapidly build a finite element model of your test
structure.
