This two-day vibration training course teaches students measurement and analysis techniques useful for solving difficult machine vibration problems. The course is a combination of lecture and demonstration and covers single and dual-channel vibration testing techniques available on most analyzers
Course Outline
2 Day Course
Resonance testing methods including run-up or coast-down testing, negative averaging, Bode and Nyquist plots, peak hold averaging, single and dual channel impact testing.
Orbit measurements from non-contact displacement probes and bearing housing magnet-mounted accelerometers.
Stress wave measurements for detection of bearing and gear defects.
Single and dual channel phase analysis.
Configuring and using tachometer signals in diagnostic testing.
